Yosakoi is a unique style of dance that performed at festivals in Japan.

The first Yosakoi festival was held in 1954 in Kochi. Yosakoi-style dancing is passionate and consists of combing traditional Japanese dance movements with modern music. In Kochi, young performers who are university students prepare the music, choreography, and uniform for Yosakoi Festival in August. These things are used for just one season. So, Yosakoi makes us fascinate every summer.

Unfortunately, the Yosakoi Festival 2020 in Kochi was canceled because of following an outbreak of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
